How can we help?
There's no doubt that for most of us buying our own house is the biggest financial commitment we'll ever take on. Once you have made your monthly mortgage payment you may use what have left over each month to save a nest egg, spoil the family by taking a holiday or following your favourite team home and away.
At Re-mortgagemyhouse we want to make sure that you can still maintain your lifestyle and stay in the family home that you've cherished if circumstances should change. So if an income drops due to an unfortunate event such as a critical illness, death or redundancy you won't incur the additional stress of having to find the monthly mortgage payment. Our advisers will take time listening to what is important to you and show you how you can make sure that you protect yourself and your family if things take a turn for the worst. Our advisers can also help you with your protection needs even if you don't need to review your mortgage at the moment. Our qualified advisers are available for you and are happy to discuss what's important to keep you and your loved ones in your home if things go wrong. We look at various products from a range of leading insurers to make sure that your needs are fully covered for a budget that suits you. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. |

Typical Protection Insurances available:
- Life Assurance – Will pay a set sum if the insured person passes away. The funds can then be used to repay the mortgage debt. You can arrange cover to pay the full balance of a mortgage.
- Critical Illness insurance – Will pay a set sum if the insured person is diagnosed with a critical illness such as most cancers or suffers a stroke or heart attack. Many policies will pay out on diagnosis and can be used to pay the mortgage balance or to be used to pay for treatment.
- Unemployment/Redundancy insurance – Will pay a monthly set sum to cover mortgage payments. The amount paid and the duration of continued payment will depend on what is agreed at the conception of the policy.
- Accident and Sickness insurance – Will pay a monthly set sum if the policy holder is unable to work due to an accident or illness. Similar to unemployment cover and is suitable if your employers sick pay is only for a short period of time.
This Payment Protection Insurance is optional. There are other providers of Payment Protection Insurance and other products designed to protect you against the loss of income. For impartial information about insurance, please visit the website at www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk
These insurances are not mandatory as part of a mortgage, however they are hugely important if something were to go wrong during the term of your mortgage. In taking a suitable insurance policy you are protecting the lifestyle that you have worked so hard to build up.
- Property Insurance will be there for you if something goes wrong with the property itself. You can purchase either buildings insurance to protect the bricks and mortar or contents insurance which will protect your possessions. You can also take combined buildings & contents cover and often insurance providers will offer a discount if you take the both together. Our team will be able to search for the right insurance that suits your needs.
